In 2019, I embarked on an exciting journey with a group of college friends to establish the startup called FootNote. Our vision was to create a platform that would facilitate easy knowledge-sharing among individuals. We wanted to build a social platform where people could share their knowledge, ideas, and capabilities, allowing others to benefit from this collective wisdom. We firmly that the human mind is infinite, and our goal was to tap into these infinite possibilities worldwide.
Our first step was developing a platform that would enable users to create, share, and contribute to presentations. Essentially, we aimed to create a professional social media platform that would enhance people’s knowledge through effective communication. We believed that every piece of information, knowledge, idea, or belief that exists within an individual’s mind represents a unique and untapped infinity. We considered any content, ranging from data and expertise to even the smallest details like thoughts, concepts, and plans, as symbols of these infinite potentials. Moreover, we saw the collective efforts and achievements of individuals as a representation of the infinite possibilities that could be derived from their collective intelligence.
Throughout history, the acquisition and transfer of these infinite symbols have always been some of the most valuable endeavors of humankind. Sharing information, knowledge, expertise, ideas, plans, achievements, and everything else that resided within our minds has continuously propelled humanity forward. These transfers have enabled the limited world that we live in to expand and grow. Therefore, we aspired to touch these infinite realms by empowering individuals and organizations to effectively share whatever was hidden within their minds, perspectives, and truths. Our ultimate mission was to create an environment where collaboration and sharing would pave the way for a better world for all of us.
Our slogan encapsulated our ambitions: “Touching the Infinite.”
Regrettably, after two years of intense efforts, our journey came to a halt due to various challenges faced by some of our team members. However, being part of this startup team provided me with invaluable lessons and compelled me to delve into studying startup teams and team development, including Agile project management. These experiences deepened my understanding of the intricacies involved in building and maintaining successful teams, and instilled in me a drive to continue exploring the world of startups.
Although our journey with FootNote may have come to an end, the impact it had on my personal and professional growth will forever shape my entrepreneurial spirit and fuel my aspirations for future ventures.
